First Impression shortlisted in Midlands Family Business Awards

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

Just been finishing our presentation for Thursday as we’ve been shortlisted in the Commitment to the Community category at the Midlands Family Business Awards sponsored by the Wilson Organisation. I hadn’t really thought much about what our company does in the area before, all I know is that we are, all of us passionate about helping our customer’s businesses but also about the area and making a difference. We are proud of Glossop and the High Peak and if we can do something to help we will. I suppose because we are a marketing company, that help has often been in the form of promotion, publishing Glossop life magazine, organising business events etc. So we hope we can put Glossop on the map and bring back an award! Won’t know until the glittering black tie awards ceremony in November, but fingers crossed!

Here’s some top tips to help you:

1. Choose wisely, don’t spread yourself too thin
2. Build a complete profile before you start
3. Be consistent across all your networks
4. Stay active, there’s no point setting up an account and never using it
5. Submit useful content
