Well it’s all looking a little bit festive in our office, the tree is up and the windows are decorated. We are just waiting for the sun to go down so that we can see all our twinkly lights!

Thursday, December 1st, 2011First Impression appoint Football Professional to help move up a league
Monday, July 11th, 2011We would like to welcome and introduce to you all, former Accrington Stanley Commercial Manager Martin Edmundson who has been appointed to deliver First Impression’s medium to long term marketing strategy.
Martin, 25 from Manchester achieved one of the highest value commercial sponsorship agreements in Accrington Stanley’s history after securing a six figure deal for their playing shirt sponsorship, and was also the man behind the rebrand of the world famous football club’s emblem and new corporate identity. Martin led successful targeted marketing campaigns to the football club’s international database and increased revenue from targeted consumer and corporate sales activity. Accrington Stanley’s 2010/2011 season almost led to promotion to League One after reaching the League 2 play-off stages, a very different story to the bottom half of the table finishes in the seasons prior to Martin’s arrival.
We are delighted to appoint Martin to the newly formed position as he plays a vital role in communicating the success of our recent clients to the business community and trade press. Martin has a proven record in in leading national marketing campaigns for some of the largest brands in the UK such as; Pontins Holidays, The Horse and Bamboo Theatre and the National Football Museum since graduating with a BA (Hons) Management degree from UCLan’s Lancashire Business school in 2008.
Speaking on the new appointment, Helen Duncan commented “Martin has an impressive track record in developing brands and achieving focused marketing objectives. His ability and desire to deliver results will prove valuable for our new and existing marketing partners.”
When commenting about his new responsibilities, Martin stated “First Impression work with some fantastic clients and I will be helping them with proactive marketing campaigns that will really make a difference to their business”
As we already have one Martin in our office, Martin Edmundson has quickly picked up the nickname “Martin 2” to avoid confusion amongst staff and clients alike!
You can contact Martin at martin2@firstimpression.co.uk alternatively find him on LinkedIn (linkedin.com/MartinEdmundson). If you would like to find out how First Impression can help your business grow, contact the office on contact@firstimpression.co.uk or alternatively call 01457 857111.

First Impression shortlisted in Midlands Family Business Awards
Tuesday, September 21st, 2010Just been finishing our presentation for Thursday as we’ve been shortlisted in the Commitment to the Community category at the Midlands Family Business Awards sponsored by the Wilson Organisation. I hadn’t really thought much about what our company does in the area before, all I know is that we are, all of us passionate about helping our customer’s businesses but also about the area and making a difference. We are proud of Glossop and the High Peak and if we can do something to help we will. I suppose because we are a marketing company, that help has often been in the form of promotion, publishing Glossop life magazine, organising business events etc. So we hope we can put Glossop on the map and bring back an award! Won’t know until the glittering black tie awards ceremony in November, but fingers crossed!
