Branding means business

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Your company brand or identity is important no matter what size of business you are- it’s how you can differentiate from the competition and it gives your company a personality.

A logo is central to your brand. Compare your logo to your competitors, if it’s not better or at least as compelling then you are in need of some logo surgery! Without a logo- or worse, with a poorly designed one- your organisation may look amateurish. A company can survive without a logo, but a great logo will help your customers and potential customers identify with you and give you a competitive edge.

Whether you like it or not, consumers become emotionally attached and loyal to brands. Take GAP for example, they decided to re-brand their business to give it “a more contemporary, modern expression.” However they didn’t consult their customers and as a result they experienced a huge backlash through social media sites. This prompted GAP to quickly revert back to the old, well known and well recognized logo.

We appreciate that your business may not be on the same scale as GAP, but getting your branding right doesn’t need to cost the earth. First Impression has a wealth of experience branding and re-branding companies across a range of industry sectors.

One of our most recent clients ‘Altus Adventure’ was a new business start up that wanted to provide training and development for a variety of clients, from corporate development teams to National Governing Award programmes.

Altus wanted a really strong brand that would make them stand out and immediately differentiate them from the smaller, lone operators that already existed in the market place. With this in mind First Impression develop their ideas into a viable brand, as well as producing a website and company brochure that made Altus look like a well established business in their market place.

Company Director Laura Offles said “The brand and website First Impression has developed for Altus Adventure is strong and powerful with a corporate feel which should help us break into corporate training”.

If your business is in need of branding or you are thinking about re-branding, First Impression can help. Contact us today on 01457 857111
