Hear, hear
In my business we are continually being told by our team leaders the busiest time of the year for retail is now, so what do we do we all take our eye off the ball with regard to expanding our businesses and concentrate on selling product, which is good and brings in much needed cash but what happens in January when we eventually decide to go back to work? It takes so long to get started that it is Feb before we know it and we have lost 2 months.. Planning now and making sure the foundation are put in place for 2011 now in 2010 will mean we are ahead of our game and can be sure that 2011 will be a good year for all of us.
So get planning and maybe take the time to speak to Helen and Martin (for free?!!) about what can make a difference for you next year now

Hi Helen,

Your stalker here.

Could not agree more with that statement .... trouble is a lot of businesses believe that focusing on finding additional income streams will improve the bottom line profitability ... it may do in the short term, but in the long term this policy runs the the risk of losing existing profitable clients and/or earning additional income streams from those clients.

"Avoid mistake no 2" applies IMO not just to accountants, but any other professional service provider :-
