Are you selling features or benefits?

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

When writing content for your website, brochures or leaflets- getting the right message across can be more difficult than it sounds.

You are probably passionate about your products and services and know them inside and out. The temptation is to tell our customers all that information. But think of yourselves as a consumer. When you buy something you are rarely interested in a long winded description, you just want to know the benefits, what is it going to do for you! So when you are writing about your products and services, put yourselves in your customer’s shoes and think what is important to them – what are the benefits. Girlguiding Manchester website goes live!

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Girlguiding UK is the UK’s largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women. It’s been a big year for the organisation as it celebrates 100 years of guiding and with more than 4,500 members in Manchester alone it’s clearly giving girls and young women what they want. First Impression has worked with Girlguiding Manchester designing and printing leaflets for some of their activities over the past year or so and having built that relationship they were a natural choice to talk to about a dedicated website.

Mel Price, a volunteer with Girlguiding Manchester said, “It’s very easy working with First Impression. They were able to take what was in our heads and bring it to realisation within our timescales. The result is a vibrant website that will help strengthen guiding in the area. The initial feedback is very positive. Great job!”
