Simple websites that are good for business

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

We’re a full service marketing company so as you’d expect we design and build websites. But there’s no one size fits all with a website. If you’ve just started out in business or you’re a small company, you have very different needs to a larger business or someone who wants to sell online. And that’s simplifying the options! And we can help you through that process.

But if all you need is a simple site, we offer simple websites. But simple at First Impression still represents stylish, professional-looking and well optimised sites. Simple doesn’t mean cheap, it means very affordable. Simple means taking away the pain out of buying a website and helping you cut through the jargon.

Take a look for yourself at our simple website offering http://www.simple-websites.co.uk/

And take a look at some of the simple websites we have produced recently for our clients:

Olympic hopeful, Katie Byres website now live

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

Katie Byres, UK’s junior pole vaulting champion can now be found at www.katiebyres.com

Katie’s dad, Andy Byres said, “We would like to thank the generosity of First Impression who have built Katie’s site, it is fantastic. The website is going to be an important hub of information as Katie’s career progresses and because First Impression has built it with a content management system, I can update the site myself with all of Katie’s news and events. I’ve already put the details of Katie’s first Under 20 International from this weekend at Loughborough, where she came 3rd!”

Helen Duncan, MD at First Impression said, “We were delighted to be able to donate this website so Katie can focus her funds on buying equipment. She is an exceptional athlete and her dedication, and that of her family is clear to see. I hope the website helps to launch her career and give her the recognition and support she needs to progress further. I will, like most local people, be watching Katie’s career with interest over the next few years.”

Katie has broken all British records in each of her age groups and is currently 7th overall in the UK senior rankings, although the youngest by 3 years. Katie is also studying hard for A levels at Glossopdale’s Sixth Form College but after her final exam next week her training schedule will be full on once more, although what that can entail I can only imagine, she’s been training 7 days a week whilst studying!

Her next major challenge will be the European Junior Athletic Championships in Estonia on 21-24 July. How she performs over the summer will determine whether she will take a year out to train full time in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic selections in June next year. This is one young lady to watch! And now with a brand new website we can!

Bradbury & Son, one of the UK’s largest cheese suppliers, choose First Impression to re-vitalise their online presence

Wednesday, May 11th, 2011

First Impression, a High Peak creative design and marketing company has designed a brand new website for Bradbury & Son. The new website captures some of Bradbury’s personality – of being traditionally different and highlighting their innovation, bringing new cheese products to the marketplace.

Bradbury & Son have been in the cheese business since 1884, operating from their High Peak headquarters in Buxton. They needed a website that reflected the modern-thinking company they had become, without losing sight of their historic background. They work with major retailers, convenience stores, wholesalers, food manufacturers and suppliers to all types of food service companies, sourcing and delivering the cheese products that they need. Bradbury & Son have also developed an exciting range of their own brands of cheese that fill gaps in the marketplace.

First Impression have written the new content, designed and built the website. Chris Chisnall, Marketing Director at Bradbury & Son said, “We are very pleased with the website First Impression has developed for us. We are continually moving forward here at Bradbury & Son and the new website will enable us to keep it fresh with new products and the latest news. Bradbury & Son is an exciting place to be so watch this space for more to come.”

New business, new website for Craft Room

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

As an avid craft enthusiast Julia Hallsworth approached First Impression to help her fulfill an ambition to start her own business. Julia wanted an ecommerce website to sell craft and scrap book supplies. The brief was to create a website that was friendly, informative and easy to navigate where people could log on and not only buy craft supplies but get inspiration for their latest project.

The new site stands out from other craft supplies websites, it has a personable feel and look. It’s a site that creates an experience rather than just a transaction. And having just launched the new site she’s delighted to have received her first order!
