Managing Change
In simple terms organisational change process is when an organisation experiences a change from one state to another. However, there is nothing simple in terms of organisational change process. It can take many forms and is driven by many different internal and external factors, such as management structure, new technology, competitor information, and economic fluctuations.
A crucial element of managing the change process is keeping all stakeholders including, employees, suppliers, and customers, reliably and efficiently informed.
“Communication process and organisational change implementation are inextricably linked processes.”

Five primary goals for effective communication during major change in an organisation:
- Ensure clear and consistent messages to educate employees in the company vision, strategic goals, and what the change means to them.
- Motivate employee support for the company’s new direction.
- Encourage higher performance and discretionary effort.
- Limit misunderstandings and rumours that may damage productivity.
- Align employees behind the company’s strategic and overall performance improvement goals.
