Bradbury & Son

Bradbury & Son have been in the cheese business since 1884, operating from their High Peak headquarters in Buxton. They needed a new website that reflected the modern-thinking company they had become, without losing sight of their historic background. They work with major retailers, convenience stores, wholesalers, food manufacturers and suppliers to all types of food service companies, sourcing and delivering the cheese products that they need. Bradbury & Son have also developed an exciting range of their own brands of cheese that fill gaps in the marketplace.

First Impression have written the new content, designed and built the website. Glossop.com

First Impression purchased the domain for Glossop.com last year and has created a new web site. It is now a vibrant, central point for everything about Glossop, carrying news, events, and interest stories. There are special offers from local businesses and First Impression is developing a business directory and a new addition being the houses for sale with links from estate agents and individuals. Visitors to the town will be able to access information on the area and local accommodations providers can advertise their places to stay.

Advertising will be low cost so it will be accessible to everyone and with hundreds of visitors every day, the site is already proving a big success.

Craft Room

As an avid craft enthusiast Julia Hallsworth approached First Impression to help her fulfill an ambition to start her own business. Julia wanted an ecommerce website to sell craft and scrap book supplies. The brief was to create a website that was friendly, informative and easy to navigate where people could log on and not only buy craft supplies but get inspiration for their latest project.

The new site stands out from other craft supplies websites, it has a personable feel and look. It's a site that creates an experience rather than just a transaction.

New Mills School

The Head Teacher approached First Impression to design a new website for the school. The requirement had been driven by the school governors who felt the old site simply didn't deliver. It was important that the new site was engaging, informative and able to be updated by the school. Information had to be found easily and the content needed to be appropriate for both existing parents and students and prospective parents and students.

The new site has been well received by students who liked its modern, colourful design. The governors feel that their objectives have been met and that the Head and school now have a new site of which they can be proud.

Altus Adventure

Altus Adventure was launched in Buxton in November 2010 by Craig & Laura Offless. Both have led many overseas expeditions to places such as Africa, South America and Asia, including mountaineering trips to the Himalayas, The Andes and the Alps.

Craig and Laura wanted a really strong brand that would make them stand out and immediately differentiate them from the smaller, lone operators that already existed in the market place. They approached First Impression to develop their ideas into a viable brand, a website and company brochure. Laura added “The brand and website First Impression has developed for Altus Adventure is strong and powerful with a corporate feel which should help us break into corporate training”.

Event and Music Media

Event and Music Media sources radio advertising for music and event promoters around the UK. They had a website but felt it was not powerful enough, particularly as they work in such a vibrant and lively industry. EMM asked First Impression to refresh their existing logo and design a website that captured the spirit of their business. The key to making a Return On their Investment was to open it up to their clients to use as a business tool.

First Impression developed a back end database that allowed EMM to create separate areas for each of their clients. These areas are used to store information about the artists, events and venues. Clients can now access the information they need, when they need 24/7 which keeps EMM one step ahead of their competitors.

Lyndsey Selley Wildlife Artist

International wildlife artist Lyndsey Selley wanted to be able to sell her beautiful paintings, prints and imited editions online. She already had a website but wanted a more simple looking site that would act as a blank canvas to best showcase her artwork.

Lyndsey approached First Impression to design and develop the ecommerce site for her to showcase her work and offer potential customers a safe, secure and easy way to buy her paintings. Lyndsey is delighted with the result and within just a few weeks of it being live received her first order.

Girlguiding Manchester

Girlguiding UK is the UK’s largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women. It’s been a big year for the organisation as it celebrates 100 years of guiding and with more than 4,500 members in Manchester alone it's clearly giving girls and young women what they want. First Impression has worked with Girlguiding Manchester designing and printing leaflets for some of their activities over the past year or so and having built that relationship they were a natural choice to talk to about a dedicated website.

Mel Price, a volunteer with Girlguiding Manchester said, "It’s very easy working with First Impression. They were able to take what was in our heads and bring it to realisation within our timescales. Avonchem

Avonchem has established a strong reputation for the supply of Laboratory Chemicals to the Educational, Scientific and Pharmaceutical market over the past 40 years. First Impression have been working with the Macclesfield based company on their marketing strategy and then helping them deliver specific requirements.

This has included newly branded stationery, folders and leaflets and a full database website to enable customers to view their many specialised products. Avonchem are also using First Impression’s emailshot email marketing system to communicate their portfolio of products to their customers. Working with First Impression has given Avonchem a consistent and professional approach across all their on and offline marketing.

Old Hall Hotel

The Old Hall Hotel in Buxton is reputed to be the oldest in England, one time host to Mary Queen of Scots. First Impression has been working with them recently, designing and printing business cards, leaflets, adverts and brochures.

They were pleased with our work and approached us to develop a new website for the hotel. First Impression designed and built a CMS website and has achieved early bookings in its first few weeks of being live!

Cavendish Bridal House

Cavendish Bridal House is a luxury bridal shop with a captivating collection of bridal gowns and prom dresses. First Impression developed a relationship with Cavendish through our design and printing capability, developing Cavendish’s early branding to a more mature level. It was a natural progression for them to talk to First Impression about their website requirements.

It was really important to capture the whole ‘cinderella’ experience customers can expect to receive at the shop. The result has received a nomination in the Bridal Buyer Awards 2010.

SmileQuest NorthWest

SmileQuest North West has a wealth of experience providing laser teeth-whitening to thousands of clients all over the U.K. since 2005. Among their clients are footballers, news readers, actors and models. First Impression designed and developed a website to attract new business. Using XHTML/CSS/JQuery as good practice it also introduced a web presenter to demonstrate the clear benefits of teeth whitening.

XL Sizes

XL Sizes specialise in large sized clothing for males, the store features 10 categories with a total of over 200 product variations. The company wanted an ecommerce website to sell their specialist range of clothing online. First Impression designed and built the XL Sizes website using XHTML/CSS/PHP/MySQL/Photoshop.

Flexco

Flexco has been in business over 100 years manufacturing Belt Conveyor Products. First Impression has worked with Flexco in the UK for a number of years, providing a design and print service. However, more recently we helped them with email marketing to support their UK growth.

Flexco used emailshot, and First Impression designed an HTML template to get them started, and helped source and purchase a database for their needs.

Clumberpark Hotel & Spa

On the edge of Sherwood Forest, Clumberpark Hotel & Spa is a fabulous retreat offering the ultimate pampering and relaxation experience. First Impression managed their email marketing from the initial ideas, designing a template, writing the copy, managing the address lists and sends, right through to reporting. Clumberpark received excellent results and return on investment.

High Peak Radio

High Peak Radio started broadcasting on 4th April, 2004 and is one of the few independent commercial stations in England not owned by a large media group. First Impression worked with the local owners to develop a database website that would attract interest and advertising. High Peak Radio have been delighted with the return on investment as advertising has considerably increased as a result.
