Buxton College

First Impression won the national contract to re-brand Buxton College in a competitive pitch against companies from as far and wide as Derby and London. The contract was to redesign the Buxton College logo so it had more of its own identity even though it will still be very much part of the University of Derby. First Impression’s designs were chosen by the marketing team however they first had to be tested with staff and students at the College, who also approved of the strong new look.

The new brand was officially launched by Buxton College on 22nd June and First Impression have embraced the brand across their 2010-2011 100 page prospectus and exhibition stands. Both the College and First Impression are justifiably proud of the work and are excited at how the brand can develop the College in the future.

St Thomas More Catholic School

St Thomas More is a successful 11 to 16 comprehensive school in the beautiful market town of Buxton. The new head teacher wanted a prospectus that communicated the quality of teaching and ethos of the school. First Impression was invited to offer designs for this important marketing tool for the school.

First Impression utilised the strong colours in the school emblem and used imagery to great effect. The prospectus was printed on a high quality stock with matt laminated cover and spot uv varnish finishing.

New Mills School

The Head Teacher approached First Impression to design a new website for the school. The requirement had been driven by the school governors who felt the old site simply didn't deliver. It was important that the new site was engaging, informative and able to be updated by the school. Information had to be found easily and the content needed to be appropriate for both existing parents and students and prospective parents and students.

The new site has been well received by students who liked its modern, colourful design. The governors feel that their objectives have been met and that the Head and school now have a new site of which they can be proud.
