Businesses come out to support Glossop Business Centre’s official opening!

There was a real buzz of excitement at 174 High Street West on the 8th September as First Impression celebrated its newly refurbished offices by hosting Ben Price’s Open Air show live for High Peak Radio, and Robin Baldry, Chairman of Derbyshire County Council cut the red ribbon to official open the Glossop Business Centre.

Helen Duncan, MD of marketing company, First Impression and joint owner of Glossop Business Centre said, “we are delighted to be celebrating today, it’s been a long journey of negotiations, building work and keeping the business running throughout but the result is fantastic. It was great to see so many of our customers here to support us, as well as everyone involved in the project, including our financial supporters at NatWest Bank and DDEP (Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership) who partially funded the refurbishment of the building. It was also good to get support for what we are doing from our local MP and organisations such as Business Link.”

Ben Price from High Peak Radio interviewed both Helen and Martin Duncan as well as Robin Baldry when he opened the centre and one or two members of the staff read the weather reports, so it was a fairly hectic show. Over 40 people came to look around the new offices and all agreed it truly was a transformation. Refurbished to a very high standard the Glossop Business Centre, as well as home for First Impression, offers modern office space for small businesses. A new tenant has already moved in and with furniture, telephones and broadband already installed, anyone looking to move quickly has little to worry about. With easy in and easy out terms there is a lot of flexibility which is good news for businesses in this uncertain economic climate and they hope to create a real hub of activity for the businesses who move in here with the ability to network with each other. The centre also has a brand new meeting room which is fully air conditioned with AV facilities, offering a flexible table arrangement so it can easily be set up as a training or meeting room, depending on what people want.
