Who we are

First Impression has evolved from its beginnings in 1996 into a fully integrated design and marketing company, offering both on and offline solutions. Although our business has changed over the years, our passion remains the same, to help our customers develop and grow their organisations through high quality, innovative and consistent communication.

Based in the High Peak we are well placed for the Northwest, motorway networks, public transport services, yet feel incredibly lucky to work in some of Britain’s most breathtaking scenery.

Originally First Impression specialised in internal communications, working with a small number of blue chip companies to communicate complex, often political messages to internal audiences. We expanded into external communications and we developed our online capabilities early on. As the Intranet grew internally our customer organizations as fast as the Internet changed the way they communicated with their customers.

Our traditional communication and marketing skills have served us well during our own digital transformation, which means we can truly offer a fully integrated marketing solution, providing the right communication tools for the right audience.
